Transferring back to Magnavox, Fort Wayne in February 1992, I was assigned as a program configuration manager on the JSTARS Program. JSTARS was a joint effort with E-Systems ECI Division. Wrote configuration management plans, held configuration control change boards, conducted configuration audit, and travelled to vendors. Participated in Government meeting.
Later assigned to the ground radio section. Worked and the AN/GRC-206 program in same capacity. Worked in the FMS area with customers in Greece and Korea. Participated in Program reviews with customer in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Assigned to a technology transfer program for airborne radio sets. Magnavox provided manufacturing kits for the radio set. Aselsan Manufacturing in Turkey assembled the airborne radio sets for their country’s use, as well as, for other NATO Countries.
Worked on U.S. Coast Guard Hydrophone Program. Magnavox developed hydrophones were installed on all Coast Guard surface ships to assess depth of lakes, oceans, and the United States coastline.
Worked on NOAA on development of Weather Measuring Sonobuoy for deployment in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Magnavox was sold to Hughes Aircraft Company.
Assigned to Tactical Tomahawk Missile Program working in Fort Wayne. Magnavox supplied the communications package for launched and guidance of missile.
Raytheon Company, Massachusetts purchased Hughes Aircraft Company including Magnavox. Work on IR&D Project to developed a family of tactical and manpack radio sets for delivers to Special Operation Command. The family included ground, airborne, satellite, and the Tomahawk Missile Program. My assignment was project configuration management for project office
Finished my career working on classified programs for National Security Agency covering secure duplex cryptographic communications. I retired from Government Industry in August 2005.
Education: Detailed requirements for working Foreign Military Sales Contract from Government procuring agencies for foreign allies. Worked with marketing and contracts on transfer of technology of Magnavox products direct to NATO Countries starting with Turkey. Training in Ford Quality One Program to improve company quality engineering processes. Certified in ISO-9000, and 9001 Quality Improvements for global competition as a United States Manufacturer.
